Product details of Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream 15g: Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream is antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream contains two active ingredients, Hydrocortisone acetate and Miconazole nitrate which combined; work effectively to treat skin infections. Hydrocortisone acetate is a mild 'topical steroid’ which works by reducing itching, swelling and redness associated with skin infections. Miconazole nitrate is an ‘antifungal’ which works by kill the fungal, and some bacteria associated with skin infections. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream can be used to treat athlete’s foot, which is a skin infection that an occur either between the toes, on the soles or the side of the feet. Athlete’s foot can cause soreness, itching and flaking on the skin. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream can also be used to treat Sweat rash, rashes that occur in areas where the skin rubs together, such top of legs, underarms, breast or the groin or other skin areas.
Directions for using Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream 15g: Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream is should only be on affected area(s) of skin. Make sure the affected area(s) is cleaned and well dried before applying Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream. Ensure that you use your own towel and flannel to prevent someone else from catching the infection. Only use Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream for external use. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream is suitable for adults (including the elderly), and children over the age of 10 years old. Apply a small amount of the cream on the affected area(s) two times a day. Rub the cream smoothly on the skin until it fades away. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream should not be used for more than 7 days. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream should be applied less and for short period of time by elderly patients. This is due to thinning of the skin when the cream is applied for a long period of time. Make sure that your hands are washed before and after applying Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream.
Warnings of using Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream 15g: Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream should not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, if the skin is broken or on skin problems such as cold sores, acne, herpes, chicken pox or shingles. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream should not be applied (unless advised by a doctor), on the face, on the anal or genital area, on areas of skin affected by eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis, on large areas of your body or under dressings, on skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis, to treat ring worm or infections which occur as a result of your original infection or children under the age of 10 years old. Consult a doctor before using Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breast-feeding. If you are taking medicines which are used to slow down blood clot, whilst you are using Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream, consult a doctor to see if the cream is working correctly.
