Directions for using Nicorette 2mg Mint Gum (105): Adults: For smokers of 20 cigarettes a day or fewer. Use when there is an urge to smoke, no more than 15 pieces a day. Chew each piece slowly for 30 minutes according to the chew and rest technique described on the pack. Smoking cassation: Patients should stop smoking during treatment. After up to 3 months, reduce gum gradually. Those who use NRT beyond 3 months should consult a healthcare professional. Smoking reduction: Use between smoking episodes. A quit attempt should be made as soon as the smoker feels ready but no later than 6 months. Seek professional advice if no reduction in 6 weeks or no quit attempt in 9 months.
