Product details of Nicorette Microtab 2mg (30): Nicorette Microtab can be used for fast and effective relief, of the withdrawal symptoms associated with quitting smoking. Nicorette Microtab is not suitable for non-smokers, if you have rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance or children under the age of 12 years.
Directions for using Nicorette Microtab 2mg (30): Adults: Use sublingually with a recommended dose of one tablet per hour, or, for heavy smokers (more than 20 cigarettes a day) two tablets per hour. Most smokers require 8-12 or 16-24 tablets per day. Do not exceed 40 tablets. Smoking cessation: Stop smoking during treatment. Duration of treatment is individual, but 3 months is recommended. Reduce the dose gradually by decreasing the total number of tablets a day, then stop when daily consumption is down to 1 or 2. If duration is more than 9 months, seek advice from a healthcare professional. Smoking reduction: Use microtab between smoking episodes to reduce smoking. Attempt to quit as soon as the smoker feels ready but no later than 6 months. Seek professional advice if no reduction in 6 weeks or no quit attempt in 9 months. Adolescents (12-18 years): No more than 40 daily. Smoking cessation: As for adults but use for up to 8 weeks before gradually reducing over 4 weeks.
