Product details of Piriton Syrup 150ml: Piriton Syrup is used to treat allergic conditions that respond to antihistamines such as hay fever, hives and allergies of foods, medicines and insect bites. The tablets are also used to relieve symptoms of itchiness caused by chicken pox. This medicine is suitable for children aged 2 years and over. • Adults, the elderly and children over 12 should be given 2 tea spoonfuls (10ml) every 4-6 hours. Must not exceed 60ml a day. • Children aged 6-12 should be given 1 spoonful (5ml) every 4-6 hours. Must not exceed 30ml a day. • Children aged 2-5 should be given be given just half a spoonful (2.5ml) every 4-6 hours. Must not exceed 15ml a day. • Children aged 1-2 should be given just half a spoonful twice a day only. • Not suitable for children under 1 years old.
Directions for using Piriton Syrup 150ml: Adults: Two 5ml spoonfuls (10ml) every 4-6 hours. Maximum 24mg (60ml) in 24 hours Children 6-12 years: 5ml every 4-6 hours. Maximum 12mg (30ml) in 24 hours 2-6 years: 2.5ml every 4-6 hours. Maximum 6mg (15ml) in 24 hours 1-2 years: 2.5ml twice a day

Possible side effects of Piriton Syrup 150ml: Common side effect is drowsiness. Blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, urinary retention, headaches, dry mouth and dizziness could also be experienced.
